Redo, My Neighborhood!
I sat and spoke with Rod as he was tearing down what was left of his vacant house. He says that him and his wife really don't know what they are going to do with the land once he clears the rubble and takes it to the dump. Rod tells me, "I kinda had a feeling that we were going to be the arson's next victims. The first house they set on fire looked just like mine, I knew it was just a matter of time if they didn't catch the guys. I am just really happy that no one got hurt, and that someone woke my neighbors".

Lets Fly!
This is the "Blue Turtle" named this way because it is blue and it is slow, pilot Paul Hieken tells me. Paul has been a pilot for 2 years now and says he loves to fly. "It only took me one time being up in a balloon and I knew I wanted to own one". Paul has over 400 Hours flight time, but has only been flying with passengers for about a year. Paul says " I love the open blue, and the way mother nature has to take care of you when your in the air". Paul has flown the Blue Turtle in over seven different countries.
These are just some cool pictures I took at the last show Paul went to.
This show Paul attended had a total of 38 balloons from all over the USA.
This week I loved having the option to do anything we wanted. one of my favorite things to take pictures of is the hot air balloons!!! Hope you enjoy as well!

Rancher
Kelly Carmichael of Dallas OR is showing me his white mare which he calls his "donkey, Fiona".
Going out to the ranch was a lot of fun. It's been years since i have been out in the open with animals everywhere, the day was so perfect. We started out with a huge fire, (it was burn day) getting rid of old trees and branches that were no longer needed, and once we had the fire raring to go we stepped over the electric fence, with the horses. Fiona came right over to me, wanted nothing to do with her owner but only with me. This huge animal comes and puts her face right in mine. Kelly was shocked. Normally Fiona only wants him... I was frightened at first, thinking, was she going to hurt me? Then soon realized that she wanted nothing of the sort. All Fiona wanted was for me to giver her attention. While scratching this huge animal, I soon felt at ease. The day turned out to be really nice, found out a lot about Kelly. He does pictures himself, and of course once i found that,i had already taken all my pictures, but i did end up showing him what i had and he approved.
Kelly has two horses, Fiona and Brownie. Brownie was injured at my time of visit, so he wanted nothing to do with me.
Something i think you find on every ranch or farm... OLD VEHICLES!
Kelly has a best friend. Her name is Jessie. she was so precious, she wouldn't let daddy get to far out of sight with me there.
Kelly was playing with Fiona. That horse was truly an amazing animal, so friendly.
